  12. People who never performed on stage don't understand how self doubt is common among singers. Everything affects your performance, mix it up with a bit of stage fright and you have got yourself a disaster. As we can CLEARLY see, he is actually amazing and will improve more and more before Eurovision. If he keeps this up, I can see him qualifying with top televote and top 10 jury votes and going through such a tough semifinal would be amazing for a country like Belarus. Maybe they will want to adopt him then (he is from Ukraine as we all know) just like Norway did with Rybak (who is ironically, from Belarus)

  16. Actually it is a big luck he had to change the whole song for Eurovision. I also love the old version, but this is so much better for live performance and Eurovision stage. And he is obviously working hard to improve himself.

  18. He's improving on his vocal. The rest is the stage presence. And, just my thought, the last note before the break "blind before you", he should have a long note with vocal exercise.

  26. Ohhh… my No1 from the very beginning, I never doubted the vocal skills of this boy. But this performance is not my favourite so far. 🙁 It's too soft, somehow introverted, a bit "Salvadorish", he looks too shy and unconfident, like begging a lady for mercy 🙂 and differs very much from the bada** in the video. Still rooting for him and hope the final result as staging and performance in Lisbon would place him to the highest possible position! Please, do not lose your power! 😘🍀Go, Alekseev!

  29. I was very negative towards him after national final but I know he works very hard and I respect that. There's so much improvement in both vocals and English pronunciation. Hope Belarus will be in the final. This young man deserves it.

  31. Every time he sings this it sounds better! At first I thought the 'revamp' was to make the song sweeter and more friendly, but actually it sounds more mysterious and sinister (in a good way!) than the original. the "moody 1900s russian ballad" sound of the music is stronger here, (especially the 2nd chorus into the bridge with the eerie choir in the back) and it transports you to another place, moreso than the original….. i'm telling y'all, with unusual or weird or James Bond-esque staging this will qualify!!
